Oh. That’s right. You probably want me to be a spear, don’t you?
The weapon fuzzed to mist, then elongated and grew into the shape of a silvery spear, with glowing, swirling glyphs along the sharpened sides of the spearhead.
Szeth twisted in the air, Lashing himself back into a hovering position. He looked at the spear, then seemed to tremble. “No. Truthless. I am Truthless. No questions.”
Stormlight streaming from his mouth, Szeth threw his head back and screamed; a futile, human sound that dissipated in the infinite expanse of sky.
Beneath them, thunder rumbled and the clouds shivered with color.
From Brandon Sanderson's "Words of Radiance".
When fighting Kaladin, Szeth discovers that Knights Radiant have truly returned to the world, and the new Desolation is approaching. That means that everything he was told before was a lie - and all the awful deeds he has done were for nothing.
That was a long run... I started it in summer, and did a lot of drawing and redrawing since then. My friend said, that it was storming Kaladin I was working on, and this had to be awesome. She helped me with the post-affects, also - the stormlight and the smoke - and gave a whole lot of rational advice and critique along the way. Thank you, sweetheart, this wouldn't be half as good without you!
So I’m TheBlueShifting, a YouTuber who does a specialized Cosmere video series called “Letters from the Cosmere” After getting permission from Brandon Sanderson to create this series, I started writing letters from the character Elsric to his fellow explorers about the various topics and events that he witnesses during his travels. During the videos, I have had the honor of showcasing wonderful artistic works of characters, landscapes, and even musical compositions of other Cosmere creators. I do my best to showcase these works in the best way and with links back to each of the creators. I also refuse to use any art without receiving permission directly from the artist first.
I would like to feature your Cosmere art in my future videos. If you are willing, I would like to find places for “Above the Storm” as well as your other Cosmere themed art, as long as you approve. If you would like to see what the series is like, here is a link to the first video in the series: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9T5Aw5…
I hope to hear from you soon. Keep making the Cosmere fantastic!
Of course, I will feel honored if you do so.
And I believe, that your activity brings more attention to a great story setting, so keep going Cosmere is magnificent!
P.S. The video seems like a really interesting idea, I will definitely watch the whole of it later, and share it with my Cosmere-obsessed friend too
Also, I believe, that you include authors' names in some kind of credits in your videos?
All those wind and magick effects you got going on is really great. Even though the 'mist' effects I can tell that weapon has some lovely details to it <3
The anatomy and attire, all of it is just wow, this is my favorite thing I've seen in a long time <3
I am in love with those magick wind effects <3<3
And thanks for commenting on the magic effects - me and my friend have spent a lot of time to make them perfect! And the clothes and the weapons too - she kicked me really hard to look for reference, and she was right to do so
Ahahaha, well getting every detail done is very important and it shows how passionate you are to the thing, that's great ='D
I find Szeth's character interesting, hope there will be more about him in next books...
